Three ironic video spots on food waste

Each one of us wastes almost 200 kilograms of food per year. Overall in Europe we waste 89 million tons of food each year, producing 170 million tons of greenhouse gases. At the same time, 1 billion of our planet’s people do not get enough food to eat.

To raise awareness and spread information about this shameful paradox, the Food We Want campaign has produced a mini series of three short videos. To reach the greatest possible number of people with its messages, the videos use a simple and ironic language, meant to stimulate reflection and action. Each spot, in fact, also suggests few easy strategies to reduce domestic food waste.

Watch the first video:

What happens in your fridge?

View the second video:

What does the future have in store for us?

The third video will be out on mid December.
